Where do I begin? These weeks go by so fast. Let's start with Tuesday. So Tuesday we had our Zone Conference for this transfer, same stuff there. We had a lot of people in this zone conference. I think there are beginning to be more missionaries coming in now which is always good. Wednesday was a day of mixed emotions. We had our zone temple trip again. The last one was 3 months ago. So it was good to go again. There were at least 2 or 3 zones going at the same time so there were a lot of missionaries in the morning session. It's funny seeing the temple workers faces when they see a crowd of missionaries going through the temple. When we were finished with our session we got back in our suits and were waiting in a hallway. there were at least 30 missionaries waiting. There were a handful of temple workers coming through and they were like "Woah so much power and authority in this room" haha and then one temple worker came in stopped in the middle of the room and was like "OK Elders I bet you are all wondering why I called you in for this meeting today." We all got a kick out of that! We took pics outside the temple. Then we headed out for lunch to Cafe Rio. There were about 12 of us that went, and this guy started talking to us and said he has a son on a mission as well and that he wanted to pay for all our food! The last Elder said the price was around $120! SO GENEROUS! Ok and then the reason why I said it was full of mixed emotions is because when we got back to our areas, we went over to Mike's. But he was on his way out because he was tied up in his new job. Soo ok. Earlier I had a prompting that we should go see a Less Active we work with Andy Black. Very great guy, missionaries had been seeing him for a long time. Even my zone leader knew him because he served in the Valleyview Stake when he first came out. But anyway very nice guy we loved him he was fun to be around and visit him. So we walked down to his house and we see there was a bunch of cars out front of his house. Odd. We walk up and there are people walking out of his house. We walk up to his door and there is a family member that greets us. They tell us that Andy passed away the night before. We found the nearest church house and sat quietly for like an hour. His funeral will be this coming week. Friday comes around and we have our Mission Devotional. First we got to hear from Elder Christensen and his wife for about an hour or two. Then we went caroling by zones, and then we came back and had a mission dinner then took a mission pic. I should be getting it soon so I will send it soon. During all this I got to see my trainer and we hung out it was fun. During the mission pic Sister Hillier was like "if any of you make any faces or signs I will come and find you later and get you!" Everyone was like oooooooooo. So on Sunday the Wilford Stake had their stake conference and we went early and got good seats, it was packed. Lo and behold President and Sister Hillier walked in. Apparently they were invited to speak by the Stake President. My companion was like "OH NO was I making a face in the mission pic?!" I busted up laughing. and when Sister Hillier got up to speak she started off by saying "as soon as I sat down my mother eagle eye powers activated and scanned to find my missionaries and boom there they are!" And she pointed at us. Of course everyone looked at us and we were like "really Sister Hillier" lol it's been a fun week and Brother Jim Barnett told me about the package deal. We are having dinner with them tonight as well. I was entertaining their kids the other night because they start learning spanish at a really young age up here now. I told them I speak spanish but am a 'lil rusty. So we started speaking spanish and their parents were like... "we dont even speak spanish and all our kids and the Elder does, what the heck?" So we were having fun. We have been freezing our butts off this week it has been in the low teens around 12 degrees. Then the other day it was 40 degrees and we walk out in light jackets and are like wow its warm today! I though I would never say that! If I were still at home I'd be shivering. Anyway this email is for both you and dad I have to use the rest of the time to go email the Pres.
