OK.....this week has been hectic!
Soooooooo here we go. Transfers were on Tuesday, but lets back up a bit. Sunday night we find out that Elder Manansala was leaving our area. What? But I'm not done training? But they didn't tell us where he was going to yet. Monday afternoon comes around and we have to spend most of our time cleaning the apartment for inspection. All of a sudden our phone rings....hhmm!?!?
OH President Hillier is calling? Elder Manansala picks up the phone. He talks for a second and asks how we're doing. Doing great Pres! I'm listening over the call and President says, " Elder Manansala I would like to extend a call to you to be a trainer again up in Wyoming." (Wyoming was the last place he wanted to go, you should have seen his face!) I'm sitting there smiling and snickering because I knew he wasn't to thrilled, we both loved our area! So he gives me a look, like 'don't laugh at me!' and then there's a slight pause....." is Elder Mushet there?"
UH OH!! He hands the phone to me and President says, "Elder Mushet I would like to extend a call to you to train a new companion this transfer. This has been inspired by the Lord and we are both trusting you to do this." Well what else would my answer be to the Pres.? "yes, of course!" Tuesday Elder Manansala and I go to the mission office to go get our new companions fresh out of the MTC. Not only do I meet with my companion but the AP's found me and hand me another phone AND another set of keys BECAUSE they gave us a 3rd Stake to cover! 23 Wards! I haven't even finished my training yet, I've only been out for one transfer, and they're making me a trainer, covering 3 stakes and the third stake is white washed?!! OYE!!!
I have my hands full now. oh and yes, would they give us a car? Hah! Of course not that's silly for them to give us a car while covering one of the biggest areas. Anyway we've met with some people in the new stake and they're amazing. It will probably be our favorite stake by the end of this transfer. Oh and on Sunday we were asked to speak during sacrament meeting in one of the 23 wards we cover. Surprise new companion, baptism by fire!
The things you are telling me that is going on at home such as how you have been striving to become a better person and serving people at home is wonderful. Keep pushing forward and put your shoulder to the wheel. Things will work out if you put faith in the Lord and have that personal knowledge of Christ so that life will be more joyful and a little bit easier, just like Nephi had the personal knowledge of the Lord and made his journey easier than his brother's had. (stole that from Dad) keep working hard but don't burn yourself out quick. And yes I could use more Proactive.
