'It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Presents for everybody but not to expensive! LOL! Welp after we face timed, we headed to our dinner and they were doing BBQ. I thought that was a little weird at first...but oh my was it good! The member said he went a little crazy at the butcher shop. He had a bunch of meat. And they had it set in marinade for like 3 days. There was a good group there but there was plenty of meat and other goodies for everyone. There were these refugees that were there from the middle east. One was a man that was a translator for the Army here and ISIS started killing off his extended family. So the Army discharged him and let him come here. Anyway they made a middle eastern dessert that was really good! So that was all good and then after we went and spent the rest of the night at Mike's spending Christmas with him. He was still wearing the slacks and white shirt. (In our call with Andrew he had told us that someone had walked up to them and gave them money for Christmas. Andrew & Elder Heyward did not keep that for themselves and also adding some of their own, they chose to go and purchase church clothes for their friend Mike. They wrapped them and gave them to him as Christmas Gifts.) And then we tried teaching him how to tie a tie and then he kept that on haha. So just a little back story, Mike had a dart board on his wall. He used to play competitions and when we would go over sometimes I would throw darts and he taught me a couple things. A while ago we mentioned that we wished we had one back at the apartment. He had another one he tried getting for us but he couldnt find it. We went over last night and I noticed it was not on the wall. I said something about it and he pulled it out for us and he said it's ours. We noticed later that he wrote on the back of the board. It says, 'to the missionaries, thank you for everything, love ya guys, Mike and Chase Allerie' so that dart board is very special to us! It's going to suck when I have to leave this area. Thank you for all the gifts you sent me this Christmas and trying to make me feel back at home. Being a little home sick was bound to happen after Christmas and calling in. But everything is good here, keep up the good work, hold down the fort while I'm gone, and I hope blessing are coming your way from your sacrifices.
