So Saturday the 19th Jasmine was baptized by her cousin, my companion and I were witnesses so at least we had a part in it right? It was awesome and the spirit was really strong. I talked with her step dad and asked him how he thought of it. He said he loved it and the spirit was strong there. I can feel he's going to be our next one he's awesome. So Sunday the 20th Jasmine couldn't pick who she wanted to confirm her and the Ward Mission leader backed down and well my companion is new so I got to have the privilege to confirm her a member of the church and leave her with a blessing. First time ever doing it, a little scary I would say. But it was really special to be a part of the baptism and confirmation. I can tell you now that just because of that, being out here is so worth it!!
We will continue working with her step dad and hopefully meet him at the font. Transfers are next Tuesday, it went by crazy fast I don't know where time went. I hope I don't get transferred this transfer because now that we got comfortable and the last couple weeks we got the ball rolling and are going to do some more hard work. I love this area....
Our purpose is to learn and become better. That's why Heavenly Father lets trials happen so we can learn, doesn't mean he likes the situation as much as we do but he knows we will grow and become more like him. And I've been learning to love more which I needed and I'm still learning. Just like when Christ was spat upon, mocked, and many other things that happened to him like when he was attacked by Jewish Rabbi's and doctors, he still had a love for his brothers and he never stopped loving them and instead of just cutting them off never talking to them and just leaving he stayed there with them where they encountered him and he taught with simplicity and love for them. That's what I am learning to do. I had the hardest time doing that in high school but now I've come a long way. "And behold I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom, that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God." I hope you guys are enjoying your Thanksgiving break with family up here as I will be up here. Hang in there, work hard, be obedient, have fun!
